The hypocrisy of the Israeli Arabs is not allowing coexistence

עודכן: 21 במאי 2021

At first, you should know that there are at least 15 Muslim states around the middle east and more than 50 Muslim states around the world.

Even so, the Israeli Arabs which most of them are Muslims who insist on living in Israel as they believe it belongs to them. Truth is, that according to the Quran, Israel belongs to the Jews as there are mentions of Moses and his people for their right to claim the holy land. Some people are even saying that Al Aqsa is not located in Israel but in Saudi Arabia.

Moses: "My people, enter into the holy land which God has written for you" (Sura 5 verse 21)

Second, the Arabs in Israel have a blue ID card like all other Israeli citizens, but they are identified with the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organization) which opposes Israel and most of them even call themselves 'Palestinians'.

So, how can those "Patriotic" people called Palestinians live in Jewish and democratic Israel and still not be familiar with it? That is what I call hypocrisy.

When it comes to their civil rights, the Palestinians are very much Israeli citizens, they can get an education, good jobs and, even take part in the Israeli parliament.

However, when it comes to the Israeli-Arab conflict, they are suddenly forgetting how good their life in Israel really is and claiming for occupation by Israel, out of solidarity with their families which are settled in Judea-Samaria and Gaza's strip.

Most of the Israeli Arabs oppose being part of the Palestinian Authority as suggested in the two states' solution and even in the "Peace to Prosperity" plan. Why is that when all they have ever wanted was to have a Palestinian state?

First and foremost, Israeli Arabs are aware of the benefits of living in a democratic government, which the Palestinian Authority certainly is not.

Moreover, the vast majority of the Israeli Arabs still believe that their independent Palestinian state should be only established on Israel's territories, thus they oppose the existence of the state of Israel, another form of hypocrisy.

Israel, as a democracy, which advocates for freedom of expression, allows its Arab citizens to protest the government and some of them even oppose its existence while enjoying their civil rights. Not to mention, some of the protestors are encouraging violence and I am quoting "with blood and fire we will redeem Palestine".

"With blood and fire we will redeem Palestine"

Over the past week, we have seen the violence spread in the streets like fire despite the past year in which Jews and Arabs have managed to cooperate so well during the Corona crisis.

Now, how can the Jewish citizens of Israel believe in coexistence? If this coexistence is so fragile from the beginning and we find ourselves attacked in our own land, this definitely requires a second thought.

I feel there is still hope but it requires some serious work. I wish the hatred towards us, Israelis, Jews, wherever we will be, will come to an end. God has blessed us with patience, wisdom, and compassion and we must use it to stay strong in the face of hatred.
